The Meaning of Life
Over the last century, I’ve done something that has alluded some of the greatest minds that have ever lived.
It really was an “a’ha” lightbulb moment and put everything I’ve lived through so far into a common themed thread.
I can relate experiences from a young age of playing rugby in the 2nd row position which supports and pushes forward our front row in the scrum, to frequently being picked as a club captain for our school and local football (soccer) team. I loved “Food tech” classes at school because I got a real kick out of others enjoying good food I’d made. I always wanted to help my friends at University do better, whether it was ‘thinking bigger’ about life and their goals or simply to gain confidence to talk to girls.
Then the greatest and most supportive example of my theory is that I fell into recruitment as a career…to help and advise people searching for a new job or career, as well as supporting and advising companies on hiring strategy and growth.
I led the global expansion of our company to allow others the opportunity to come and live and work in New York City (THE greatest City on earth between 2015-2019), Austin and Fort Lauderdale.
At the time of writing my daughter is 15 months old and now I mostly live to allow her to have a platform so she can see above the wall that is often in front of females, and whatever she wants to do, I want her to know she can do it.
I’m really no saint, I’m not saying my actions are completely selfless, but whatever I do, I always find the most satisfaction and enjoyment in seeing others succeed and find happiness in their own lives.
That’s what it’s about. Your own life. How you choose to live it and how that satisfies you.
And that’s it…I’ve successfully found the meaning of life…well my life that is.
And my meaning is to support, help and guide others to achieve whatever they want.
Amor Fati. Love it all.
